Natural/Small Water Retention Measures (NSWRM) sit at the crossroads of European environmental and agricultural policy. Throughout this module, their role has been examined within the broader political, institutional and governance context that shapes water management, agricultural sustainability and climate resilience across Europe.

This conclusion synthesises the key lessons and highlights the importance of coherent, evidence-based policy dialogue for supporting the future uptake of NSWRM.
