Abstract
The LIFE REGAIN project restored ~12 km of meanders and created 350 ha of wetlands along Odense River to improve water quality, biodiversity, and Natura 2000 habitat connectivity. Over 70 landowners participated through voluntary grazing and land-use agreements. The project also aimed to reduce nitrogen flow to Odense Fjord, improve fish habitats, and re-establish hydrological processes in the floodplain.
