Abstract
This article reports the official closing event of the Vonarje dam modernization project. It highlights the participation of Slovenian and Croatian water management agencies (Direkcija RS za vode and Hrvatske vode) and the symbolic importance of cross-border cooperation in flood risk management. The piece includes quotes from ministers and local officials and documents the final achievements of FRISCO 2.1. It emphasizes improved safety for local communities in both countries.
