Abstract
This news article reviews the Persina restoration outcomes: reconnected 80% of former wetlands, improved nutrient reduction, enhanced biodiversity (fish, birds), modest runoff reduction (1–10%), and socio-economic benefits including tourism and local employment. It underscores restoration's role in functional landscapes and notes ongoing follow-up under the LIFE+ Kaikusha project.
