Abstract
This official UNESCO page describes Srebarna Nature Reserve as a 600+ ha freshwater wetland adjacent to the Danube, hosting about 100 breeding bird species and 80 migratory species, including the Dalmatian pelican and other threatened species. It highlights the ecological significance, the 1994 canal restoration, buffer zone (2008), and management by Bulgaria’s MOEW and RIEW Ruse.
