IMPROVEMENT OF THE NAVIGATION CONDITIONS ON THE DANUBE BETWEEN CALARASI AND BRAILA, KM 375–KM 175 – 10th JS Follow-up Meeting (Budapest, 2019)

AFDJ’s update on the project: works completed at CP01 Bala, CP02 Epurașu and CP10 Caleia (2014–2016); navigation on Old Danube reopened near Caleia and bank erosion reduced. EGIS 3D modelling indicates discharge increase to the Old Danube by ~17–42% depending on flow. Outlines 2015–2019 feasibility/alternative solutions, stakeholder process, and ongoing environmental procedures; notes maintenance dredging volumes in 2019.
