The exploitation strategy for the OPTAIN project is centered on ensuring that the knowledge, tools, and results generated are actively applied and sustained well beyond the project's duration. This strategy is designed to maximize the impact of Natural Small Water Retention Measures (NSWRM) by promoting their adoption across various regions and sectors in Europe. It focuses on leveraging the project's outcomes to influence policy, support environmental sustainability, and deliver economic benefits.

Key components of the strategy include the development of a Business Model Canvas, identification of target audiences, and pathways for effective knowledge transfer. By engaging stakeholders and addressing potential barriers, the strategy aims to facilitate the successful uptake and application of NSWRM, ensuring that the benefits of the OPTAIN project are realized on a broad scale.
