Abstract
Policy page setting out Italy’s Eco-scheme 2 for tree crops. It requires maintaining spontaneous or sown herbaceous cover between rows (or outside the canopy projection for non-row plantings), banning herbicides and soil tillage in those areas, and managing cover by mowing/triturating. The measure aims to cut erosion, improve soil organic matter and structure, and support biodiversity. Details are part of PAC 2023–2027 implementation guidance and mirror regional summaries.
